This keyboard looks nice, but I have a few questions about it. Does it work with Mac OS X? When the round pad is in mouse mode, does it behave like a joystick or is it like a trackpad? Do the Li ion batteries charge directly in the keyboard or do they need to be removed? Is it a special battery pack or standard-sized batteries, like AA or AAA?

Lance, according to Logitechs website, the diNovo mini is not compatible with Macs. However, this does not mean it won't work. It is bluetooth afterall. I've seen many products that weren't compatible with OS X based on what the manufacturer states, but still worked to a large degree. However, I have to go by what the manufacturer states, so YMMV.
The "round pad" is a dual purpose clickpad. You can use it as either a touchpad, or a directional pad i.e. joystick.
The battery charges directly in the dinovo mini via the ac adapter. So once you put in the battery for the first time, there is no reason to remove it.
