As E3 comes to an end, we are left with new rumors about the newest in electronic news, more than when we first started. Metal Gear creator and director, Hideo Kojima, left fans with a teaser trailer filled with hidden clues to the new addition to the Metal Gear Series, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Hideo Kojima also left fans with a mock E3 newsletter of upcoming Konami games. Since it was a mock newsletter, many thought the "Breaking News" on the front page about a Metal Gear Movie was as much a joke as the rumor on the internet about who should star in it. However, on the last page of this newsletter, Hideo Kojima states "...a movie project is underway. I have finalized a Class-A contract with a party in Hollywood."
The character Solid Snake is based off of John Carpenter's Escape from NY and Escape from LA movies played by Kurt Russell. The voice actor for the American Version of the popular video game series is done by screenwriter, for such movies as X-Men & X-Men 2, David Hayter.
Here's my pick for actors and roles, assuming these characters will be in the movie. Solid Snake will of course be played by David Hayter. Colonel Roy Campbell will be played by Jack Nicholson. Mei Ling will be played by Lucy Liu. Meryl Silverburgh will be played by Natalie Portman. The President of the United Stated will be played by Harrison Ford. Raven will be played by Michael Clark Duncan. Revolver Ocelot will be played by Christian Bale. Sniper Wolf will be played by Franka Potente. Liquid Snake will be played by Hugh Jackman. The Ninja will be played by Summer Glau. Hal Emmerich, Otacon will be played by Keanu Reeves. Raiden will be played by Tom Cruise. Rose will be played by Alyssa Milano. Fortune will be played by Thandie Newton. Vamp will be played by Brad Pitt. Emma Emmerich will be played by Emma Watson. Solidus will be played by Alfred Molina. And Metal Gear will be played by Johnny 5. My picks for Snake Eater characters will be listed once I play the game.

Natalie Portman is the only one I agree with you on.
David Hayter doesn't look like the character of Snake. People say he does; he doesn't. Also, he's a good voice actor, but would most likely be a bad actor on screen; they are twodifferent art forms.
I think Hugh Jackman should play Snake, NOT because is is the popular choice, but because he truly does fit the description, and we know he can play the tough guy role well. WTF? I just read you put him as Liquid! Why are you having two different people play both parts? They aren't brothers, they are CLONES. Both Liquid and Solid have the same face, so putting two different people who don't look alike in both roles is a mistake, and I hope the real filmmakers don't do this. Jackman speaks in an aussie accent naturally, so he has the advantage of mimmaking a British AND American accent, so there you go; he could play both parts.
Natalie Portman is an amazing actress, and she looks just like Meryl when her hair is cut short. If her hair where dyed red, I think she would be the absolute perfect Meryl.
Campbell. Once Again, I think you're way off. Nicholson? He doesn't even sound like Paul Eiding, nor does he look like the Campbell character.
I think Marten Sheen would be a good choice. Sure, he still isn't Campbell's likeness, but he can at least act without freaking the audience out, and he sounds alot like him.
I won't even start with your MGS2 Cast choices. I truly hope you are joking, because you are only naming big-name actors, half of which can't act, and they are all wrong for the roles. I wouldn't even care if there were unknowns in the roles, as long as they do a good perfromance, and are satisfying as the characters. Nat Portman was your best pick I think, because she truly can act (despite what some people have said), and to me she looks just like the Meryl animation in the codec screen.

Do a Google search on David Hayter and check out the images that pop up. The guy totally looks like Snake. And the only ones who really care about the voice acting are the hardcore MGS fans. That's a very small percentage of the population. Also, since Jackman's now a bonafide star, he's probably out of the studio's price range.

Actually what I think they should do is just use CGI characters sorta like FFVII: AC. That way everyone won't get so angry at the choice of actors they chose for the characters.
