I was aware of the B&W society of sound, but HDTracks was new to me.

Lately, I've taken up to buying vinyl records and I've been surprised at the quality so far. All the great things my dad told me about LPs, it seems, weren't too far from the truth, especially when you've got a nice pair of speakers to go with them.

Can't help feeling all this compression and heavy limiting is killing music. Some of it is so loud and so lacking in dynamics that it's just like the ads on TV - so painful you need to turn it off. Whatever happened to subtlety?
