I bought this player hoping I could use rechargable NiMH batteries. It would barely play 1/2 hour before shutting down. It may have just been a faulty player, but I don't want to take the chance on ordering another one. I will try another player with rechargeable yet non-replaceable batteries--a bit disappointing. Other than that major problem, the player seemed to work well.

It is indeed an amazing product, the only thing that I will change on the mp3 player is maybe more memory, but other than that it is a perfect product for us who love music.

Will this play any mp3 that may not be a typical 320kz or 128kz recorded size.
[EXAMPLE - Recorded from software internet radio stations & each song file is from around 20kz to apx 64kz per song file. AND may be Stereo to joint stereo and mono.
I'm looking for the CHEAPEST mp3 player to just take with me on BUS rides to & from hospital, store, etc. AND i want longest battery per charge [AND NO BUILT IN BATTERIES] I prefer the you put your own store bought battery/s into the thing.

I have this MP3 player and once I download the music it does not play back; it tells me the musci is there if I open the screen on my computer; I can find all the music there and it's in the right format but to get it to play back it's another story; If you can just tell me how I can get this to play back what I recorded and download............I won't have to trash it. contact me "NYaceone@msn.com"

And reading the CD that comes with it is no help at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the SIR103 a year ago and I love it. My problem is that I lost the USB cable and now I have no way of downloading new music. Does anyone know where I can find this cable?
